HKWTO was established by a group of front-line teachers in 2006 to
promote teachers' professional development in particular that of women
teachers. We are concerned about the problems and challenges they are faced
with. Since 2006, we have organized exchange tours to different mainland
cities, conducted large-scale opinion surveys to solicit views of students,
teachers and parents about various social issues and presented seminars by
prestigious educators.
HKWTO is also keen to promote the mental and physical well-being of
teachers. To this end, we hold regular workshops and interest classes both at
our own venue in Mongkok and Hong Kong Teachers' Centre in Kowloon Tong.
